I have learned a lot from Brad Feld; I consider him a mentor and advisor. One of his most valuable lessons is to "Give First". You often hear people advising to "give back" and "help others as others have helped you", but Brad takes it one step further and believes that you should take the first step and not wait.
True to this lesson, I’ve always managed to find time to help others, being involved as a volunteer, or more recently as a board member of a non-profit.
POW! (Power of We!) is a non-profit helping atypical children. We believe in the power of inclusion and the strength of togetherness!
I helped in the creation of POW and later joined its Board as the Secretary.
